Garment care
Our pieces are garment-dyed after sewing, which is exactly why they look the way they do and also why they ask for a little care.
Washing
Wash cold, inside out, with colors that already get along. Skip the bleach and the fabric softener; both flatten a found tone faster than anything else.
Drying
Hang to dry when you can. Tumble low when you can't. Heat is what shrinks cotton and dulls dye, so the gentler the better.
Over time
The tone softens gently with wear and washing, like everything worth keeping. Small variations between pieces, and within one piece, are the point, not a flaw. If you want to slow the fade, wash less often and keep it out of long direct sun.
